  7. Habit:  Small, annual, erect herb. Leaves are small, simple, arranged in two rows on lateral branches, giving them the appearance of a pinnate compound leaf.  The fruits are small, smooth, green-to-brown, 3-lobed capsules that hang beneath the branches. 
  8. Distribution: Widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of India. Found growing in moist, shady places, especially during the monsoon. Also found in Sri Lanka, China, and other parts of Southeast Asia.
